Long Distance Relationships

Roxanne and I aren’t in a super long distance relationship but long enough. It’s a couple hours or more over to her home, the entire distance on bad roads.

We both also have fairly intense responsibilities so it makes it tough.

The disadvantages to this kind of relationship are easy to see. It is hard to get together, and we can’t get together as often as we would like. To top it off it seems that our visits are usually too short. We just don’t have much opportunity to connect before we have to separate again.

I wonder though if there are advantages to this kind of relationship that we wouldn’t have if we were to live together. We certainly don’t spend enough time together to get on each other’s nerves, and we both look forward to seeing the other with great anticipation. Perhaps if we were sharing a home that would be lost. Perhaps not though, it is I suppose an unanswerable question.
